How to setup IP camera with Win XP

1. Enter TCP/IP Configuration

What you will need:

  • IP Camera (from the NetComm NS4xxx range)
  • ADSL Modem (e.g. NetComm NB5580W)
  • Wireless Ethernet Bridge (e.g. NetComm NP5410g) for wirelessly connecting the IP Camera to the ADSL Modem
  • ADSL connection

Getting started:

  1. Ensure that you have a connection to the internet.
  2. Power on the IP Camera and your PC.
  3. Connect the camera to your PC using the cross-over cable provided. Confirm that you have two solid red lights on the rear of the camera. If you see a green/yellow flashing light you are probably not using a cross-over cable but an Ethernet CAT5 network cable. In this case, change to a cross-over cable.
  4. Open the Local Area Network connection (Start -> Settings -> Network Connections) for the NIC (Network Interface Card) connecting your camera and PC.
